Welcome Aboard!

His time has arrived! After three plus years of hard work, Chris Litten’s dream has finally become a reality. He is now the proud owner of BodyBasics Health & Fitness, a cozy, private training studio.

The BodyBasics name may be familiar to a lot of you since Chris has been using it for his Personal Training and Desert Dawgs Boot Camps for several years now, not to mention it is all over the back of his car window! Now, the name proudly adorns the front of the 7355 N. Oracle Road building.

Temporarily displayed on a canvas sign, it calls attention to the professionally-designed, thoughtfully-decorated, fully-equipped (well, soon to be at least) fitness facility in Suite 111.

And Chris is not alone! He is happy to introduce two additional trainers to the BodyBasics team, Cecile Gagnevin Brown and Jenny Shaw. Having previously worked together at another training studio, you can rest assured that this trio already knows and likes each other – well, most of the time at least.

A great location, a great space, and a great team; BodyBasics is sure to reach new heights. And it could not have been done without all of your support. Thank you for your loyalty, trust, and patience. We are all excited to embark on this new journey with you. Welcome aboard!

Grand Opening: November 2004

BodyBasics Health & Fitness will be officially opening its doors November 1st. We are very excited about this and you should be to due to the additional offers we will be providing.

To start, we will be inviting all of our existing clients to an appreciation BBQ. We will be providing good food and lots of fun. The BBQ is set for November 13, 2004 from 3 – 6 p.m. and it will be held at Mark Dempsey’s (Thank You, Mark!) house.

The event is kid friendly, as we will also have a jumping castle for them to romp around in. Call us for further details: 498-0359.

We will also be offering to friends and family of our current clients, three sessions of their choice. So, get your friends and family involved! They can choose Personal Training, Shared Training, Group Training, or all three!

And to those of you who help us in filling our doors during the month of November by spreading the word, we will be offering three sessions of your choice as well!

Make sure you ask your trainer about these exciting opportunities! We look forward to the opportunity to make even more lasting memories with you at BodyBasics Health & Fitness.

Strength in Numbers

For those of you who have already participated in our groups or are currently doing so, like us, you can attest to the additional value of having others counting on you outside of yourself. For many, exercise is not the flavor of choice and because of that, coming up with alternatives to doing so prevents them from maintaining their health and fitness levels.

We all know the importance of exercise. That is not the problem. All of us are educated enough to know that exercise is a valuable and necessary part of our lives.

So the dilemma of knowing the value of exercise versus also knowing how challenging and daunting it can be remains. So how do you bridge the two? We have the answer!! Get involved with one of our many group training options.

All of our group training programs are designed with a focus on maintaining the personal element of training with a trainer, intact. We do this by limiting total class size to 10 per group (youth and pregnancy are limited to 6 total) and providing our valued clients with two trainers per class once the class size exceeds 6 people.

Doing so ensures that you as the client are going to get a large amount of personal attention and feed back.

Each session of any group training program, you as the participant, can count on an hour that includes muscle toning for the entire body, plenty of core (Abdominals and Lower Back) conditioning, and a thorough stretching routine with an emphasis on releasing tightness due to the myriad of stresses we face each day. The groups are upbeat and organized well.

So, with our offer of three complimentary sessions of your choice through the month of November as an option, ask yourself, am I worth it? We think you are and we look forward to seeing you soon!!

The Body Basis Health & Fitness team wants to thank each and every one of you from the bottom of our hearts! Thank you for sticking with us through bands, balls and hand me down equipment! We will be (keep your fingers crossed) a fully furnished facility very soon!

Despite the setback of having a company file for Chapter 7, we have still been able to maintain all of the obligations that company had with the five vendors who are furnishing our studio. As a result, our studio will be receiving bits and pieces over the next couple of weeks.

Again, we thank you for your patience and your faith in us. We will not disappoint you.
