Christopher (Chris) Litten

B.S. Business Marketing, NSCA Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist & Certified Personal Trainer, Level 2 Precision Nutrition Coach, FMS I &II Certified, Functional Aging Specialist

BodyBasics founder and Fitness Coach, Chris Litten, has a B.S. in Business Marketing from the University of Phoenix and is certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as both a personal trainer and as a strength and conditioning specialist. Chris is also a certified Precision Nutrition Level 2 Coach as well as a certified Functional Aging Specialist. He has been working as a professional fitness coach since December of 1994 and has been a part of healthy change to countless people. Chris takes an intellectual approach to fitness and combines his various skill sets with the wants and desires of his clients to produce incredible outcomes.

When he’s not educating and inspiring others toward positive change, Chris enjoys spending time at home with his wife, Kristine, his two beautiful children who inspire him every day to be a better person and his faithful furry family member Harley.


Kristian Martorana

ACSM Certified Personal Trainer, FMS I & II Certified, Pain Free Performance Specialist Certified

Kristian is a Tucson native who attended Canyon Del Oro High School.  As a young child he was introduced to sports, primarily baseball which kept him busy and active.  After graduating from high school, Kristian attended the U of A with the intention of attending medical school.  After his first year, Kristian realized medicine was not his passion and decided to take a year off school to decide what he wanted to do.  With his active background he decided to explore personal training and attended the Pima Community College Fitness Professional program.  He loved the program and decided to continue on the path of becoming a personal trainer.  Kristian feels lucky to have found out what he really wants to do at such a young age.  He strives to continue learning as much as possible to be the best trainer he can be.

When Kristian is not training, he enjoys playing sports, hiking and spending time with friends and family.


Amanda Calderon

ACE Certified Personal Trainer, FMS I Certified

Amanda grew up most of her   childhood here in the beautiful Old Pueblo. Growing up, Amanda was an aspiring musician and artist. Originally a visual and performing arts major, Amanda quickly fell in love with competitive bodybuilding after preparing herself for an all natural bodybuilding competition. The mental challenge and physical demand of bodybuilding provided meant Amanda finally found a sport that matched her intensity.
Amanda recognizes the positive impact that being physically active has had not only to her physique but also to her mental health.  As someone who battles anxiety, Amanda understands how scary and anxious it can be to start a fitness program and doesn’t want anyone to feel that way. Her dream is to share the knowledge and wisdom she has begun to cultivate in hopes of helping people feel better on the outside and inside.
She gives thanks to God for blessing her with the opportunity she’s been given to  further her skills as a coach and mentor at BodyBasics.

When Amanda isn’t training you can find her rocking out at a concert, hanging with her pups, exploring the outdoors,  discovering new music or practicing her new found love for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.


Dustin Perrin

ACSM Certified Personal Trainer, FMS 1 Certified

Dustin was born in Tucson, Arizona and contrary to his career vision of becoming a Physical Therapist and his fitness oriented lifestyle; he did not always have a focus towards the health and wellness industry.  From a young age Dustin explains that his early life was predominantly spent in front of a computer screen creating worldwide friendships from virtual platforms such as online games as well as learning within a tech-based society.  Naturally he decided that an education in Computer Science would serve him well.  This changed after graduating high school at Canyon Del Oro when Dustin’s passion for fitness became profound and spread like wildfire. This passion led him to pursue and complete Pima Community College’s fitness professional program and achieve his ACSM person training certification in 2016.  He now joins us at BodyBasics to encourage and inspire others into following through with their passions and health goals.

Aside from his time spent sharing knowledge of health and fitness to his clients, Dustin is involved with the electronic music subculture and loves going to occasional events and festivals.

He also never says no to a nice and heavy post workout meal at one of his favorite local restaurants.


Xavier Moreno

ACSM Certified Personal Trainer, FMS 1 Certified, TRX Suspension Training Certified, TRX Functional Training Certified

Xavier was born and raised in South Tucson, Arizona and attended Pueblo High School. His love of health and fitness began at the very young age of 8 with an introduction to the martial arts. The greats, like Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan to name a couple, inspired him to participate in numerous disciplines such as karate, kung fu, and capoeira. At 13 he began weight training and running in order to emulate the likes of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone. After graduating high school Xavier entered the transportation industry and spent eight years collectively in it until he realized he wanted something more. In 2011 Xavier found his calling and began attending the Pima Community College Fitness Professional and Coaching Programs. It was at Pima College that Xavier met John Kordich who was the head of the program at that time. Mr. Kordich was instrumental in guiding Xavier down the path of success in the field of personal training. It was also during this time that Xavier was introduced to Body Basics through the internship program. In 2014 Xavier began employment with Planet Fitness and it was there that he learned the ins and outs of the fitness industry and in 2015 he began his path as a personal trainer. Xavier is determined to always better himself and continue his education in order to grow and develop as a trainer.

When Xavier isn’t busy tying his clients up in a TRX, you’ll probably find him listening to a comedy podcast, playing video games, watching cheesy 80’s action films or spending time with his family and close friends.


Chelsea Moomaw

Director of First Impressions

Chelsea grew up in beautiful Sedona, Arizona. From a young age Chelsea has loved exploring the outdoors. At the age of six she started riding horses and it quickly became a passion of hers. She continued to ride well into her late teens until she sustained a major back injury after falling off one of her horses. After three back surgeries Chelsea knows the importance of staying active to keep mobile and pain free. Chelsea first came to BodyBasics as a client to learn how to work out properly after her surgeries. After her evaluation with Chris, she learned they were looking for someone to work the front desk. Unbeknownst to her, Chris had already started interviewing her during her evaluation! The interview process continued and in August of 2018, she was offered BodyBasics Director of First Impressions position. She is absolutely loving the challenge of something new and all of the interaction with the amazing clients of BodyBasics that the position calls for.

When she’s not at work Chelsea loves going to see movies, trying new restaurants, and working towards her goal to get strong enough to start riding again.


Aaron Gilbert

ACE Certified Personal Trainer, FRC Mobility Specialist, FMS I Certified, Precision Nutrition Level I Certified

Aaron was born in the Midwest, raised in the South, and moved to Arizona after living a couple years in Wisconsin. Growing up he led an active life as a kid, riding bikes, playing backyard football, training taekwondo, and lifting weights but spent most of his time playing baseball. During high school, Aaron gained an interest in health and fitness and aspired to become a physical therapist. In college, he took a different path and almost went into college student affairs and administration after graduating. However, he regained his passion for health and fitness after adopting a vegan lifestyle and personally losing 100 pounds. He then decided to pursue a career in personal training with a focus on helping people move better and eat better. Aaron also has an insatiable curiosity about the universe and is constantly learning about many subjects as well as working to better himself as a trainer and all around human.
